Happy Birthday to You

(Here's a YouTube link)
Someone I have tremendous love for wrote a song for me a few months ago. It is his birthday today. Chicago is rainy and emotional outside and the light in my home is calming. History and future swirling around. It felt natural to play “the” song over and over and over on itunes today and hoop for hours. This is tape of the last 7 1/2 minutes of my session. Usually I'd edit it down to make it shorter, but I can't bring myself to do it to this one...

I captured the video on my lil' Polaroid HD Camcorder that I recently purchased, but it isn't MAC compatible quite yet...I need some additional crap to transfer files, but I taped the HD monitor of the Polaroid with my trusty Canon Elph and I absolutely love the artistic quality of the footage that came out. It matches the richness and affection of my practice pretty damned accurately.

Enjoy.

Here's a better quality vid on YouTube.
