Homemade Christmas 2008: Birds on a Wire Pillow

More Homemade Christmas! This time, it's a pillow I made for my bird-crazy brother and his wife. I stitched the design right into some fabric I had leftover from a fashion show costume I made this past Fall.

Homemade Christmas 2008: Crosbandary

This past holiday, my family and I decided to make eachother Christmas gifts. My brother Chad is incredibly creative and thoughtful and he solicited my help to create a surprise sign for the Christmas Village that he is building/collecting with his wife. The town name is a mash-up of Crosby and Eskandary—their last names. We put on Vince Guaraldi’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” album (the best ever in my opinion) and started to make magic out of various colors of sculpy and Xacto knives. The result:

We were having so much fun that we decided to make a pair of owls in a nest too. We thought they’d make suitable, lovable guardians for the town.

So, Chad ended up getting the “Husband of the Year” award and I got some great QT with my lil’ bro. Win-Win.
